Chef Josh grew up in Michigan working in local kitchens throughout high school, ending up in one of Grand Rapid’s most popular farm to table restaurants. He attended the Sechia Institute for Culinary Education where he learned valued techniques and the importance of using fresh, whole ingredients. Chef Josh moved to Chicago in 2006 to continue learning, working in a number of professional kitchens and learning from culinary greats.
Soon, Chef Josh became a personal chef, and found himself working for a few clients that were overcoming cancer, the ultimate stressor on the human body. Using food as medicine, he relied on anti-inflammatory ingredients, powerhouse superfoods, herbs and spices, clean sources of meats, and organic produce to create delicious, satisfying meals. What he soon realized is that anyone with any level of stress in their lives can benefit from this type of diet, and enjoy it. As more busy Chicagoans were asking for his prepared meals and snacks, Kitchfix was born.

In 2012, Chef Josh Katt was cooking for cancer survivors and learned about the healing power of food.
He decided to rent a church kitchen in River North and start offering super nutritious meals to busy people.
Our team has grown to over 40 employees, including participants from second-chance programs like The Cara Program.
We’ve been lucky enough to cook for thousands of busy people, including rock stars, actors, active people, busy families, and over 100 professional athletes.

In March 2015, we moved to our brand new kitchen in West Town, which allows us to add more catering clients, menu items, and delivery times.
In August 2015, we launched our Kitchfix Gold Coast Storefront, where you can purchase meals to-go, as well as enjoy our tasty bar menu including coffee, smoothies & bone broth!

We want to get to know you, and we figure we'll start by introducing ourselves. We're lucky to have a talented group of food-lovers on our team. Every member of our crew works hard each day to make sure we are operating according to the highest standards of quality and customer service. Many staff members have become good friends and we enjoy our daily team lunches together!
Chef Josh Katt - Founder + CEO
Josh is the founder of Kitchfix. He started his culinary career slinging pizzas at a local tavern in Michigan, and has come a long way since then to specialize in anti-inflammatory cooking. He started Kitchfix to bring this "real food" approach to everyone. Josh likes to wear backwards baseball hats everyday.
Britta Katt - Marketing Brand Manager
While Britta worked in a corporate role, she helped Kitchfix behind the scenes since it started. With seven years of marketing and communications experience, she finally left the corporate world in 2015 to officially join the Kitchfix team. She is Wisconsin-bred, loves the outdoors, and any and all ice cream.
Joe Lessard - Executive Chef
Joe takes pride in serving delicious, wholesome meals for our clients. With over 12 years of experience cooking in Chicago, he appreciates the high standards and integrity we hold at Kitchfix. When he isn't immersed in the culinary world, he brews beer, follows baseball, and listens to The Beatles.
Jesse Almodovar - Executive Sous Chef
During 6+ years of experience on Chicago's intense culinary scene, Jesse had the privilege to train under some of Chicago's best chefs and continues to create with the same sense of integrity and social awareness. Jesse manages our Kitchfix kitchen staff to always produce the freshest and fullest flavor of locally sourced organic meats and veggies!
Alex Wasserman - Controller + HR Manager
After graduating from the University of Illinois, Alex moved to Chicago and found a career with a restaurant group where she gained five years of experience in accounting and finance. She joined the Kitchfix team, excited to work for our quickly growing company.
Eva Lindpaintner - Operations Manager
Eva is our Operations and Customer Experience Manager, so she's here for any questions, concerns, or feedback you have. Pasture-raised in the Swiss Alps, Eva came to Chicago after graduating from Brown University, and has been loving all the flatness the city offers. When Eva's not at Kitchfix, she's out running, volunteering at a dog shelter, or crafting the day away.
Ashley Folk - Catering Manager
From catering and pastry chef to Catering Manager, Ashley has loved feeding people delicious and wholesome food. A Kendall College graduate, she worked at catering companies in the Chicagoland area. Aside from country music, Ashley loves make-up & her dog, Bordeaux.
Katie DeBoo, RD - Store Manager + Nutritionist
As registered dietician and store manager, Katie makes sure everything runs smoothly at the Kitchfix store and can answer any food and nutrition related questions. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and learning about foods from other cultures.
Gabby Miles - Hub Community Manager
Gabby, a Chicago native, works hard to keep our customers and hubs happy! When she isn't planning events, she is in her garden growing organic greens. Gabby is so happy that she found a company that takes pride in using local, and organic ingredients.
Emily Newman - Marketing Content Manager
Born in Ohio to a Italian family, Emily grew up with a deep appreciation for food. She's ecstatic to combine her marketing and photography skills with her love for food at Kitchfix. When she’s not looking for the next restaurant to try, she loves to read, travel, and watch animated movies!
Paul Degrassi - Sales Representative
A native of Chicago, Paul spent his college years in Grand Rapids where he first learned about sustainable, eco-friendly farming and clean foods. When he’s not playing with his toddler son, he enjoys cooking for his family and expanding his encyclopedic knowledge of sneakers.
Brendan Elliott - Logistics Manager
Brendan is a California-born transplant to Chicago. He works to ensure that customers' deliveries get from our kitchen to your doorstep with ease and convenience. When Brendan is not working, he's exploring Chicago's diverse neighborhoods, discovering unique restaurants, or rooting on the Cubs.
Adam Cole - Customer Happiness Rep
Adam is excited to partner his love of healthy eating with his passion for communication, and is here to answer your Kitchfix inquiries. Like Abraham Lincoln, he hails from Springfield, IL, and just like President Lincoln, Adam is vegan, an avid composter, and loves reading with a cat in his lap. Plus he loves to talk food!
David Duncan - Accounting + HR Admin
After working his way from humble beginnings as a bookkeeper to controller for a large non-profit organization, David decided to leave the corporate world. Not only does he bring 20 years of experience from a variety of industries, he is a “food lover” as well! During his free time, he enjoys bowling and is a supporter of the Arts in Chicago.
