While, we are all getting excited for Thanksgiving and the holiday season right around the corner, Kitchfix has also enjoyed partnering with organizations that fit our values and that we can help support through charitable donations and hosting or partnering in memorable events. This year, we are proud to be partnering with Twist Out Cancer by matching donations made through kitchfix.com and in a special cooking challenge at our kitchen in January!
As many of our customers may know, Kitchfix got it’s start when our CEO, Josh Katt, began cooking for a few clients who were cancer survivors. His philosophy on treating food as medicine and bringing anti-inflammatory and nutrient-dense ingredients into his meals led him to found Kitchfix, and to share those meals with the Chicagoland community. Today we are sending out thousands of meals to customers, some of which are dealing with various dietary needs, from food allergies to medical needs.
We chose Twist Out Cancer as our holiday partner because of it’s unique take on caring for those going through cancer. Twist Out Cancer is an organization that seeks to strengthen the community of cancer survivors physically, psychologically, and emotionally through creative arts programming. Through our partnership with Twist Out Cancer we are proud to support a local family that is battling a form of brain cancer through a cooking challenge hosted at Kitchfix in January.
In addition to the cooking challenge, we will be collecting donations in $5 increments on our weekly menus on Kitchfix.com throughout November – and Kitchfix will personally be matching each donation up to $1,000. On Giving Tuesday, November 29th, our total Kitchfix donation will be made and will again be matched by a grant through Twist Out Cancer! So for every dollar, you are actually giving FOUR dollars! On behalf of our Kitchfix Team, we wish your families a happy and healthy holidays and hope you will consider partnering with us and making a donation to this amazing cause!
